Scope Markets Hires Former Tradeview Analyst to Run Its MENA Research and Marketing

Posted: 18th Sep 2026

Scope Markets appointed Ibrahim Hossny as head of research and marketing for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) today (Friday). He will run market commentary, Arabic-language trader education and regional marketing from Dubai, Scope said.

Hossny did both jobs at his previous employer. His LinkedIn profile describes his work at Tradeview Markets as running marketing for Arabic-speaking markets while publishing educational content as a "financial influencer" to drive lead generation.

Retail brokers are chasing the same audience. Capital.com reported MENA trading volumes of $804.1 billion in the first half of 2025, up 53% from the second half of 2024, with the UAE accounting for more than 70%.

From FXDD to Tradeview to Scope

Hossny joined Tradeview in October 2023 as MENA research and marketing manager and left in June 2026, according to his profile. His arrival came a month after Tradeview hired FXDD's former sales vice president Amgad Attia as MENA director.

Before that, Hossny spent more than six years at FXDD, working remotely from Cairo as its regional spokesperson for the Arab world. His profile dates his first technical analyst job, at a Cairo brokerage, to 2007. Scope said he has provided commentary to CNBC Arabia and Sky News Arabia.

Scope Markets has been owned by Rostro since 2022 and operates through regulated entities in six jurisdictions, according to Scope.

The brand is run by John Murphy, who was promoted from group chief commercial officer to managing director of the retail business.

"His understanding of Arabic-speaking audiences will help us deliver relevant content," Murphy said.

Scope also added a product in August, when it launched Scope Copy, a MetaTrader 5 service that lets clients copy or reverse other traders' strategies.

Tickmill Filled a Similar Post a Day Earlier

Tickmill named Ranim Turfa as head of research and market analysis for MENA on Thursday, September 17. Turfa had worked as a senior market analyst at Axi in Dubai since March 2019, according to her LinkedIn profile, after earlier roles at Noor Capital and as a presenter on Mal TV.

Tickmill described Turfa as a Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) and a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). Hossny's profile lists the institute's ICWIM investment management certificate.

Her title covers research only. Joseph Dahrieh, who took over as Tickmill's MENA managing director in September 2024, said her insights would resonate with Tickmill's clients.

Moneta Markets made a comparable hire in March 2024, naming Fadi Reyad, a regular guest on CNBC and Sky News, as MENA chief market strategist. It had just received an operating license in Dubai.
